The eligibility check happens before the barrier lifts.
Every contract worker carries documents that expire — ID, insurance, medical, safety induction. PassDesk holds them against the worker, and the gate refuses anyone whose paperwork has lapsed. The guard does not have to know the rules.

Underneath all five other modules is a single movement ledger: who or what crossed, in which direction, at what time, recorded by which officer. Re-entry is a new line, not an overwrite — so the history stays true.

Do we have to buy all six modules?
No. Most customers start with visitor management or the material gate pass, because that is where the pain is loudest, and add the rest over the following months. The modules share one gate, one guard app and one register, so adding a module does not mean training anyone again.
What happens when the internet at the gate drops?
The guard app keeps working and queues the movements, then syncs when the connection returns. A gate that stops working because a router rebooted is not a security system — it is a queue.
Does the visitor need to install anything?
Never. They get a QR code by email and a six-digit code by SMS. If the phone is flat or the screen is cracked, the guard types the code — which is the whole reason the code exists.
Where does our data live?
Each customer gets their own database — not a shared table with a company column. Identity documents are visible only to a Manager and every view of one is written to the audit log. On-premise deployment is available for sites that require it.
Is Gatescan really working, or is it a roadmap item?
